Today’s technologies let us use resources most efficiently without the danger of going back to the Stone Age. How to build roads using the minimum of resources? How to design houses, which do not rely on external energy sources? How to make a transition to cars with very low fuel consumption? One of the most prominent experts on resource efficiency, physicist and biologist Ernst Ulrich von Weizsäcker, speaks about system technical changes we need and are able to implement in the next 20 years in order to overcome the resource crisis.
