In 1972, Dennis Meadows headed the group of scientists who worked on a world development model. Later, he published the results in a book named The Limits to Growth. A Report to the Club of Rome. "Limits to Growth" was translated into more than 30 languages, won the Peace Prize of the German Book Trade and is considered to be one of the most important books of the 20th century.
